I doubt it.

I don't see why we can't send some players out on loan.
They are still on the wage bill though aren't they? Technically?

I feel a TrustSTFC 'fund a player' scheme is on the horizon...

We'd be more than happy to help fund it via the Red Army Fund (erm, I'd have thought - it's not down to me!), but I don't know how this would sit with the League regs - ie do they allow a "third party" to fund part of a player's wages and so have that sit outside the 60% cap? We'd have to look into it. Plus given Wise wants a decision by Wednesday, what we've got available at the moment wouldn't be enough to commit to a year-long contract and we don't have a lot of time to raise the remaining umpty-nine grand! All that said, if we can help, we will, but we've not been approached as of yet.

Not if the loaning club pays their wages and the club can produce the relevant documentation to prove it.

i thought this 60% thing was a guideline, rather than a rule ?  although i suppose all our signings are subject to FA approval.  Maybe if Ince signing as player/coach is counted, then probably Den and Gus are counted too, maybe thats the problem ?

I think this will fall through.

According to Radio this morning, we are right up against the 60% turnover margin on wages already.  Really can't see it happening to be honest as I don't see how they can get round it.

On the BBC's gossip page:

Crewe boss Dario Gradi wants to net former England captain Paul Ince on a player-coach contract. (Daily Mirror)

As this Ince saga has been going on for so long, surely the club realised they would need to stump up extra cash/limit player wages before offering him a formal contract? Surely they were aware of the 60% turnover wage budget in this league and knew where they currently stood and ensured they were financially viable?

Bob Holt was talking about the cap last Friday.  It all goes to show that with Devlin and Power the others haven't got an effing clue.

If we lose Paul Ince to Crewe or anyone it has to be the clubs fault, doesn't it?

He was on Skysports t'other day referring to Swindon as if his decision was made.

I guess this happens in football all the time but still.

fingers crossed they can sort it .. I think Ince would be an important addition .. It would be less of a disaster then if Evans got injured or suspended ... I guess Dennis is the plan B .. he obviously doesnt want to play but will if he has to ...

He says he has a plan B signing if he doesn't join. Loan signing?

Yup,  quite sad to see though. I thought we were improving with regards to this kind of thing, but shows how much we need Devlin and Powers full involvement.

I think Carson should get involved now as he does f*ck all for this club.
