Disagree with these last few posts (RobT excluded) Ince would still be a massive asset for us.

Don't you think it may have a divisive effect on the squad...also Gus, might be a bit put out......if we have a bit of spare BP money then surely we should be looking to invest it in a young player whose value may augment with time..
to a certain extent though reg we could be investing in our next manager couldnt we.as for effecting the players this has been going on since before the season started .all round i think it will be a great signing

According to BBC Wiltshire Sound (20 mins ago) he has officially signed, but the official site doesn't show anything yet.

Just sign him as a coach, and then once the finance side of it is sorted, register him as a player. Simple!

We already have a fairly large quota of "young" midfielders though, so it could be argued another experienced head wouldn't go amiss:

Monkhouse
Shakes
Pook
Weston
Stroud
Caton
Brown
Holgate

None of them into their late 20's just yet.  Ince also seems more intent on coaching, so it might be that Wise has a belief that a role exists within the club for that right now - he has mentioned that it's taken all his and Poyet's time so far to the detriment of their own fitness.

Until its on the official site then in my opinion nothings a done deal.

If this doesn't go through this is p*ss poor business by Swindon Town yet again. (Financial wise of course)

Problem is the official site can't until the contract is officially signed.  Media can speculate, normally just before the signing because people leak the info out (Ince's agent seems to be good at that)

The biggest issue is several weeks of behind the scenes negotiation stuff has been played out in public, mainly thnks to INce's agent it seems.  Normally we'd probably have known about this at the weekend just gone.

Swindon Town Dave told me last night that the Football League Wage structure would scupper the move as someone he knows was speaking to Bob Holt.
