i also read somewhere that ince would only be looking to play 10-15 games, "just to keep fitness levels up".
it seems like we're paying a lot of money for an unproven coach, who just happens to be one of wise's mates - do we really need him?
gurney can still go, mind.
Do we really need HIM?! Yes, of course we do!! It's Paul Ince we're talking about, not Darren Bullock!!
Not surprised about the 60% issue given the stature of the fella but where there's a will there's a way. As you said, the turnover would hopefully improve given the short-term boost to shirt sales with his name on (mine included), plus the longer term aspect - increased bums on seats and commercial revenue that the sudden surge in fan optimism and club ambition will attract.
I don't think players will be sacrificed to fund Incey, although if someone was to go I'd have money on Whalley being paid off. High wages plus he's way down the pecking order of an already strong looking midfield quota. For my money, Fola looks a handy option and I'd imagine he's on peanuts at the moment, ditto Wells, and Pook. Gurns, for me, is Wisey's back-up option for Jack Smith once fit so perhaps wor th keeping him on, love him or hate him.
As I said the other night, isn't great we can even have these debates again! Devlin, Power et al, I salute you!!
