Grange Hill Dungeons and Dragons Dogtanian and the three muskahounds Scooby Doo Spiderman and his amazing friends There was also a cartoon based in space, where a team of 5/6 people went around and saved the universe. They each had a different vehicle, a bit like thunderbirds. One guy drove a car, one woman drove a bike and there was a small space ship and a sub I think, they all travelled around in a big blue space ship. They did some sort of transformation thing to turn them from normal person to said saviour. Can see it but can't remember the name of it, ring any bells? Probably because it was on Sunday night and not the normal kids TV time after school. Plus the fact that the muppets was really classed as a kids/adults show! One of them was a classic depicting the dangers of playing on railway lines, it was called Tommy or Johnny or something like that. Anyway, to cut a long story short, Johnny/Tommy was playing on the railway line with his mate, and surprise surprise, got his foot caught in the line, train came along and chopped his legs off.

I give you Mr Noseybonk: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b383/beneneuman/noseybonk.jpg What the one where they arrive on a space ship, then do a series of challenges Crystal Maze style, where one of the characters was an aspidistras plant and where to win they had to defeat the Vortex. Never heard of it. Yep, it's the one you've never heard of. They were lizards/ humanoids; there was one who spoke backwards and often said " doogy rev" Title: Re: Friday top 5 Post by: 4D on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, 00:31:12 Just thought of some more....

Title: Re: Friday top 5 Post by: donkey on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, 16:31:32 I remember Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Inspector Gadget, and Transformers and I'm a thirtysomething. OK perhaps I should have been too old for the turtles! Duck Tales was born in 87 and Popeye has been around forever! Dukula was 1988. Moomins around the same time or a bit earlier. Based on this information a) I have too much time on my hand and/or am avoiding doing some work b) you are quite old too, and your memory is shot. I'm sure a while ago we established we were about the same age (I'm 37)...and memory is shot, well yeah probably, how else can you be a Town fan...imagine if you remembered all the shit over the years, you'd go mad. Btw, fuck grammar. Title: Re: Friday top 5 Post by: jutty274 on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, 17:07:30 Just thought of some more.... One of the series was called Cloud Burst with someone on a motorbike. Loved that. Honourable mention to Marine Boy. Title: Re: Friday top 5 Post by: Hitchinred on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, 17:57:12 When my parents owned a chippy it was 12p for chips, all the kids used to come in just for the free scrumps, think chippies charge for them now ! I remember 12p chips on the corner of Bradford Road. Then they put VAT on hot food and they went to 16p. On a related matter, switched to drinking bitter when Carling went up to £1.02. Drinking 3B's meant you could still get 5 pints and a bag of chips for a fiver. They should have been battered. |
