Home from school on a Friday, egg and chips with 20 other kids....then CRACKERJACK...used to love that program, then it was bed and the tummy feeling funny with the anticapation of jumping on the bus with my 50p pocket money to watch the Town. 5P return on the bus....35p for kids in the Town End.......which left 10p for chips and scrumps on the way home

When my parents owned a chippy it was 12p for chips, all the kids used to come in just for the free scrumps, think chippies charge for them now !
