No, we were awarded the league, a subtle difference.... of course better than if it had been just binned, but nevertheless an important point when considering comparisons/achievements etc |

Drove past the CG yesterday and a car was waiting to come out. The guy behind the wheel looked very much like this guy!. An older experienced striker...you never know:hmmm: |

But if you are 'awarded it' you have still 'won it' I would venture to observe. I brought up the asterisk in a previous thread - certainly in American sport they have an obsession with adding an asterisk to what are perceived to be dodgy records or achievements. In reality, the season was curtailed by a pandemic that pulled the rug from under everyone. Against that backdrop, I am sure that history will record that no one really gave a shit that STFC won a lower league championship following an incomplete season. |
