My concerns with what Northampton fans is soothed slightly by the fact that he's dropping down a level and that can obviously make a difference.

He'll fit in perfectly then. On the showing of 1 match Ive seen (exeter) we do seem to lack presence in midfield and allow a lot of room to the opposition. Which then seems to reflect in some of the more frantic defending. But we may manage to score one more than we let in.

I've learnt never to trust a Northampton fans opinion after they told us Parkin was shit. Which means Taylor will be ace.

We might as well replace Rocking Robin with Timmy Mallett.

That would probably be Timmy Mallet's best job offer in years...

I wonder if he'll play in the middle of a 3 in the 4231 formation. Dunne and Linganzi doing all the dirty work, leaving him to pick out, the wide players and centre forward.

I remember Northampton fans last year saying LV was the worst keeper they had seen so I take no notice of the crap they come out with. Players are fitter now and 35 is fine as there's other players playing at that age and Barry is even older. He's got good experience and scored some cracking goals so good signing in my opinion.

Im ashamed to say that I booked the fucker to twat around at Demontfort Student union back in the late 90's. I was unaware of his affiliations at the time. I did know he was a twat but not because of footballing reasons. The student reaction was disturbing to me. They loved it. Other highlights of my booking in those days included Keith Harris and Orville, Steps and Chesney Hawkes. Im not proud.

On their forum they are calling him Douglas Bader.
