Blimey I had mentally blocked David Geddis, mind you he never had much pace when he was playing for Villa so he didn't have a lot to lose.

On their forum they are calling him Douglas Bader.

As long as he's not a Bader Douglas ( 10/11 version)

Is it possible to get worse than Douglas that season? I guess we will see!

His mate Prutton showed it could be done.

There were a couple of Ipswich games maybe 2 seasons ago where Prutton was pundit going on about chatting with Douglas before the game. Cunt  Smakc

All that needed was Cuthbert for the unholy trinity!

Getting back to the point about Taylor, he is a bit different to the other Flitters signings, insofar as he's a bit above journeyman status. 10/11 was the classic example of how having a few decent players with the wrong attitude can ruin a team. Taylor seems a good pro, so hopefully he won't upset the applecart.

That reliable rumours site has just revealed that Connor Thomas has been told he's free to leave the CG and may have a move abroad lined up.  Im sure there will be a great deal of anguish if this happens.

I'm surprised considering how DF was bigging him up pre-season.

Good luck to him, he has never really fitted in here but is still young and put a lot of work in during the pre season just we don't really have a space for him in the team with Taylor here now and he is on a fair wage for this division I am sure.

Possibly went the other way round. Probably had interest and the club said he can go

Thomas just doesn't quite fit the new set up. He isn't destructive enough to play as either Dunne or Linganzi is currently, and he hasn't got the ability to beat someone or create something and play in the line behind Norris/Smith.

I had hoped given his work rate and age that DF would turn him into a better player. I guess its not to be.

I would like someone with a bit more passing ability to play in the defensive two. Perhaps Taylor will be this guy but not so sure.

Bit surprised - I think Thomas could have been a useful asset in this division but he doesn't really have the combative side to his game and he can become a bit pedestrian.

I don't think Flitters is overly keen on many of the leftovers, aside from Vigs, Conroy and Norris.  Brophy and Goddard might get a bit longer.

I wonder if he'll head to somewhere like North America. Where there's scope to expand on his Soccer School experience.
