Its obviously why he played in the middle last night. Douglas injured, Ferry injured, Timlin out on loan - that left just Prutton - we had to have a second in there.

Hopefully he no longer persists with it because, quite frankly its fucking stupid playing JPM in the middle and not on the right, even more so when the replacement on the right is Caddis, whose Town career thus far has consistent of absolutely nothing.

I still cant work out what type of center midfielder Prutton is, attacking, defensive, box to box, etc.  He doesn'y seem to fit any of these categories.

Oh and i thought he was as poor last night as pretty much everyone not named Austin or Smith.
Irrespective of what type of centre mid he is,he did good last night imo

Here's a question for anyone to answer - out of the summer signings, which, if any of them have improved/strengthed our side in your opinion?

Clearly none of them...otherwise we'd be doing a bit better.  Of the much vaunted match 6 months ago v Addicks....only 3 players  started last night who started back in May.

7 games ago we were just about level pegging with Charlton, who've also had a few changes...we've hit a bad spell, whereas they've hit a good spell, although they were thrashed by the Gayers.  Our bad spell has coincided with a bit of loss of form and then injuries etc, this is essentially down to luck....it happens. Last season we were quite fortunate this season not.

We're meant to be supporters...so let's fucking support...

Yep - really annoying when the opposition play a goal keeper  Crying

Maybe we could do that, or at least one that actually keeps a shot out before we're 2 goals (or more) behind  Wink

Not going to happen is it. Far too good for the likes of us. If we are lucky he'll get the rest of this season out of him.

He wont be here or in L1 next season.

Coxy, Paynter and Henshall wanted to leave. Not much you can do but cash in.

Cox went for what, £1.9 million? There's no way we could turn that down, and a player of his quality didn't deserve to stay in this league for any longer.

I agree completly......my gripe is that even a third of that money spent on new talent would help in a promotion bid......the club have pulled in nearly three million on player sales in the last two years....and spent maybe £250,000 tops.
Of course we have to balance the books.....but this year our loan signings havn't worked out and Pericard for Paynter has failed miserably.
