Its like letters in Private Eye which always end with the writer 'cancelling their subscription', at least they have turned such nonsense into a joke.
Is it really any different to people cancelling their accounts on social media to 'make a statement'?
Like some TEF who've deleted their account in a hissy fit. (that wasn't directed at you btw)

Good old Viz. Some of the posters on here at the moment, should consider writing into them. A lucrative career may await them... Well a free viz mug anyway.

I don't mind the clocks going backwards and forwards.
Wouldn't want the Jocks leaping from cliffs in droves like lemmings, due to a mass case of seasonal affective disorder.
Having to stay up until 2.00am to do the changing is a bit of a pain though.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change? Crap!

is it only me that finds 10 years for 3 deaths a bit derisory?
also people who have caused deaths when disqualified being given light sentences because that didn't contribute to the accident. well, they wouldn't have had it of they weren't on the road would they.
Jesus. I'm turning into an (even more) grumpy moany fucker

No. That is absolutely shocking. He'll be out in 5 too. Imagine the uproar if he was a footballer...

The issue is probably the difference between the sort of definition you have for murder vs. manslaughter. Still, given that the use of a mobile device is now banned while driving, for the very reason it creates the risk of an accident occurring, maybe it's something that could be changed to fit closer to murder (whereby you have to prove intent to kill).

No it isn't, I've always taken the view cases like this should be treated as manslaughter with the appropriate custodial sentences rather than death by dangerous driving where the implication lends itself more on the side of an "accident" thus more lenient sentences.

Has the headline changed? The dashcam footage is grim. I guess the family gave permission for its release in the hope of shocking people into not using their phone while driving. Hopefully its brought it home to some.
