They would probably have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky English and Scots!

Its the Sun so they deserve everything they get, but I don't understand why he has been awarded damages when they haven't actually named him?

Doesn't help that FIFA allowed Ireland to play with a message on their shirts commemorating the Easter uprising though

I see that FIFA have now opened proceedings against the FAI over this(only 8 months later) presumably because the FA & SFA asked why this was ok yet a poppy isn't

Sleeping with someone who talks in their sleep. I can't tell if he's woken up and is trying to talk to me or is still asleep and just babbling about vending machines (that seems to be the theme)  Huh?

Sorry Ells, I have always had a fascination for vending machines. I promise that tomorrow night I will do trains and the night after Lotus cars.

Although I'm sometimes prone to this, my girlfriend is infinitely worse. I've now got to the point where I know to ignore her, if I respond she can actually take in what I say but respond with nonsense. For example:

Her: What about the machines?
Me: What machines?
Her: The washing machines
Me: The washing machines?
Her: Yeah. We need to save the washing machines

If you didn't know her you'd think she was obsessing about being a domestic goddess, but the reality is the opposite. I'm the boring practical grown up out of the two of us, which for those who know me will know is an incredibly scary prospect

I dreamed the perfect song
It held all the answers, like hands laid on

I woke halfway and scribbled it down
And in the morning what I wrote I read
It was hard to read at first but here's what it said

The BBC sport article describing Burnley's win over Crystal Palace today as 'a famous win'. What exactly is famous about this league win? It has no significant meaning such as their first top flight win, or biggest victory.

Animal owners whinging about firework night scaring their cats/dogs.

Now I have some sympathy, and yes it could be limited to a couple of weekends either side of firework night.

But a petition to ban the sale of fireworks? Get stuffed.

Personally I think fireworks should be banned to non organised events. Just for safety reasons more than anything.

We went to the free one at Blunsdon and was superb.

There's plenty of ways to distract them as well. My dog isn't really bothered anyway but we just gave him a chew and let him chill on the sofa with the TV on quite loud. He seemed more bothered by match of the day than he did the loud banging outside.
