In football terms it was a horrendous game to witness but I'd rather have all hope taken away early on like we did than deal with what Wycombe fans had to experience the day before.

I know what you mean, although I've felt pissed off about it all week. I still can't get my head round the fact that three completely different teams under three different managers played so poorly. I would never have imagined 7 years ago saying I hope Swindon don't ever get to Wembley again, but that's genuinely how I feel. I honestly don't think I would go if we got there again, but the thought of not being there if we did win, would be awful.

Oh come on Jo. Just take a couple of footy-free months to recharge and come back all optimistic.

(Sorry Flashheart) I've moved on fairly quickly. The only lingering annoyance is, as mentioned, the manner of the loss. I think the stripping down of the side is softening the blow for many. They are still in a 'good, bugger off' mode.

They are still in a 'good, bugger off' mode. This is true. I haven't felt remotely bothered that Luongo or Gladwin have gone. In fact I don't think I've even commented on the Transfer thread and I'm usually one of the first ones panicking we won't have a team left 😊.

Woke up this morning and came downstairs to a massive puddle on the kitchen floor and all down the hall. Worked out it was rain coming in from outside so have spent most of my morning cleaning it up and filling every fucking hole I can see outside with expanding foam. Bloody old house and bloody rain.

Apparently the work on Bruce Street Bridges is not now likely to finish until March 2016.
It could have been finished by now if there was actually a reasonable amount of people working on it. In all the times I've been past, there's never been more than 3 or 4 men working and quite regularly, no one at all.
How can the council justify the time it's taking?

I'm more concerned about what's supposed to happen there. I know the council are the thickest of the thick when it comes to traffic management, so I'm intrigued to see what level of ineptitude they're going to display here. I'm guessing 90% of it will be buses only, it will be full of traffic lights and you can only turn left or something intelligent.
