You'd imagine it'll be between him and Smith playing the big man next to Mullin. I'm with DRS though, I think he'll have a good year.

Its really hard to judge him on last season, all the strikers were starved of service and its hard to say that were missing lots of chances. He can score goals and he showed when with confidence he can hold up the ball. everyone is hoping this is his season to prove people wrong.
Whilst keeping an eye on pre-season scores, (but with not much detail as i honestly couldnt care less what happens in pre-season) is norris getting game time and flitcroft using him?

I think Norris looks like a confidence player who's lacked all confidence since signing for us
I hope that's the case at least, otherwise he's just straight dog toss

There were some games I thought he did quite well. He works hard and you can tell he actually gives a shit at least.
I reckon he'll be good for double figures with regular play.

I only went to two, Supermarine and Melksham. Think he played half in both. Scored with nearly his first touch at Supermarine. Thought that would do his confidence some good. Score a simpleish goal at Melksham, but I wasn't impressed. Tough conditions, but had the touch of a... and didn't look overly threatening. But 'tis early days yet. A bit more fitness work and sharpen up and we'll see.

Luke is at least a trier, which helps a lot in the eyes of Town fans. It's not beyond the realms of possibilty, that he might have a decent season. I think a good start is crucial.

I don't think Norris will ever be a 20 goals a season striker but if he can get into double figures that will be handy, spread the goals through the team a bit, even though I do still think we need that one goal poacher in the style of Ajose who has the capability of getting 20+ a season.
But we all know they are rare and come at a huge premium.

He was awesome on his debut at QPR in the cup but his goalless streak soon got the better of him. Interested to see our shape on Saturday at Woking, but presumably it'll be one up, with Mullin, Goddard, DMc behind so a straight fight between him and Smith for the 9.

I think Smith is in pole position but its down to Norris to push himself into a starting spot. I guess it also depends on whether DF plays 2 up front when the season starts even though Norris and Smith (I presume due to his size) play very similar roles.

Norris will get into double figures this season...Easily
Norris wouldn't score 10 A League goals, and they now have some handy players playing in the comp.

Was at that game, and don’t entirely agree. His movement and hold up play was decent, but he fired a number of chances straight at the ‘keeper. His subsequent finishing suggested this wasn’t just first night nerves.

For me, it was missing a sitter towards the end of the Rovers game. It would have put us 2-0 up. We lost and Mrs Norris' confidence and ability seemed to nosedive. New season, new manager, new tactics, new Norris?
