FWIW worth the Adver had a bit about him. Flitcroft said he liked the player. That we can't compete financially with FGR atm is how it is. We need to do it in other ways.

Really? Despite not being as well backed as Power claimed earlier this summer i still don't think that is the case. He was clearly on our radar, Flitcroft wouldn't comment on a random lad. If he goes to the grass munchers then i will just assume that Flitcroft thinks the money can be spent better elsewhere.

I am surprised more business hasn't been done in these last couple of weeks. I guess we are now in the position we are most seasons waiting for things to settle down in August and pick up those that haven't quite made the cure elsewhere. Difference is this year we have already signed 10 and can put out a reasonable eleven.

'Better' players are often signed later in the window as they can, and do, hold out as long as they can for the best offers.

£200k plus seems a lot of money for a striker with 7 career goals.

If he was 27, maybe.

Massive risk if you ask me. Not like he's an Austin that banged in a load at a lower league level.

But equally 200K isn't likely going to buy you a player with a FL scoring pedigree.

Isn't he more of a winger?

If Sir Geoffrey says so it must be true.

Look, I think if it's a toss up between us and FGR who Perry goes to, then FGR will be the choice.  After all Brand described her as " vapid, vacuous and plastic,"  so they're a much better fit.

Woolery signing tomorrow, apparently. For a fee no less!

Must be a wedge of the Flint sell on I'd guess.

Most of the tree huggers are convinced he's turned them down to sign for us. Seeing as he was signing for them last Friday and nothing has happened seems to point to us.

'It's off for us he signs for Swindon Monday we put a bid of 150K in but because of the link Lee power (swindon chairman) has with the wigan chairman deals been done with them. That's what I was told from an extremely reliable source'
