We sound awful defensively.  Perhaps we need to consider bringing Archibald-Henville back and seeing how he does.

I hadn't even thought about that.  Interesting.  And maybe worth a shout.  If Lee Cox can make the squad...

Portsmouth getting turned over 4-1 at York. How the mighty have fallen.

To be honest our whole back 4 has been a bit of a liability this season

My boys seem to have an odd fixation with Portsmouth.  I hope it's not a Hampshire thing.  My stock response is a dismissive 'they're rubbish, ignore them', and Pompey keep giving me more ammunition.  Long may it continue.

If it makes anyone feel any better, both Manchester clubs are losing so there will be plenty of glum faces in Swindon's offices on Monday

Carlisle were conceding for fun until he went there.  Of course, the wages might be an issue, as we're obviously not paying them all atm?

Plus there's three big teams currently down in the relegation places. Things could be worse.

Yup, Notts County, Sheffield United and Coventry are massive clubs.

Off topic, but something I have been wondering for a while: would it be possible to compile a list of towns/cities where the local side was the best supported team?  (The measure, for the sake of argument, would be that attendance at 5 or more games a season would make you a fan.)  How many such towns/cities are there, and would Swindon make the list?  My feeling is that it would - but would be interested to hear the views of others.
