Haven’t read back and couldn’t watch today, but I can only assume this was a great win and that Sheridan is turning it around - credit where it’s due, he deserves this success, and great to see him getting the most out of Scott Twine.

Yup! That sums it up! Superb tactics. Make 2 shots on goal count (50% strike rate) Get the most out of Twine's 3 touches (fouled once. Tame shot from free kick. One goal) Great management!

what do we need, 6 or 7 wins out of 17 games?
doable, but we've only won 8 in 29 so far.
that said, other clubs are in just a bad position and nobody in the bottom 7 are putting a run together
In the relegation seasons of 2010/11 we had 31 points from 29 and 2016/17 we had 30 from 29 and we sat just above the dotted line. I think you're right about 6 or 7 wins from here to stay up. The concentration of games this season just mean if you find a bit of form your position could change quite quickly in a week. Likewise, you could be cut adrift. We need to start picking up more draws and nick a point if we can't find the win especially in the games with the teams around us. We go through win one and then lose 2 or 3 almost the opposite of Luke Williams 3 draws is a win mantra.

20% possession for a home side is surely unheard of !!.
Everton win 2-0 with just 28% possession !!.

32.4% Possession 67.6% 11 Total Shots 10 4 On Target 3 6 Off Target 5 I got these stats off sky sports. I think the key to many of these games is to just not watch them or read about them and it it looks like a very even match and a solid victory!

After ditching Curle and not appointing a new one yet, Cobblers played very well at Franchise yesterday. It’s not really about changing managers - getting rid of the existing one often does the trick.

Possession is the most over used stat in football It’s utterly pointless.

I don’t think it’s about the amount of possession you have but what you do with the amount of possession given to you

Absolutely. Along with the "as it stands" table during matches

The odd freak result isn’t going to keep us up.
The current set-up isn’t good enough to win six or seven games or even go on three or four game unbeaten runs. We’re consistently second best all over the pitch, look ragged and uncoordinated.
I’d be shocked if we put in a performance against the Cobblers that suggests we’re a team that doesn’t deserve to be relegated. I’m hoping for some miracle that it’ll all come together and we fight our way to safety through our own endeavours but it just doesn’t seem possible under Sheridan.

Yes those around us can probably say the same. I think it's a bit of a paradox. It's true that we need to win a certain number of points but, at the same time, we only have to do better than those around us.

We are shit. So are 6 other teams. We have as much of a chance of avoiding the drop as any of the other 6.
