Mate of mine has almost the same car as yours (328i I think his is) and his does between 26 and 28 mpg.
but....I know fuck all about cars

walrus son, your 1.2 is a very very sick puppy if it aint getting much more than that! my 1.2i nova was pushing 35/40ish to the gallon.... i even got 40mpg out of my 1.8 16v arsetra once!

A 330 Ci has a big 3 litre 6 cylinder engine.
I wouldn't expect much better than 20-25 mpg even when cruising in top gear.
I will check in my magazines.

The BMW 130 M Sport was slated on Top Gear but thats only cause Clarkson hates BMW and loves Golf's :-))(
The 328 is the old range topper in the 3 series range (apart from the M3)
It had a 2.8 litre 6 cylinder engine with slightly less power than the 330
I'd imagine MPG would be the same roughly.
