Not to mention Boston, Sheff Weds and Hull.

I think Sunderland have a claim to it. Maybe Hull too. But the rest can fook off.

I have seen Town play Wednesday twice and been to 2 Steel City derbies and have never heard them sing it once!!

Be good to have a unique football song. Best one by a mile in my opinion is Delilah at Stoke.

Agreed, when we beat them 2-1 at The Britannia they sung that and it sounded amazing.

Historically up til around the early 60's.....the STFC anthem was To be a Farmer's Boy.

This was the marching song of Wilts regiments....so was widely known and sung at the CG.

The music is there somewhere as well.

In the 1950's I cannot remember any music at the CG except military band- type march music, wonder if that was the case.

I like Goodnight Irene that rovers sing, that's a bit unique.  I'm guessing that it's a bit like how you'll never walk alone started.  When music first got played over the tannoy fans used to sing along, and the music stuck at some clubs if the tune seemed appropriate.

one song of ours i can't stand is the "dur dur dur............fuck off"
it's so shit.
means nothing towards town and makes us sound like fucking idiots. if we ended it in SWINDON then it might sound better.

we support swindon and therfore should always sing about them.
