Can anyone tell me why we sing this?
I have heard Preston, Sunderland and Dundee United singing it recently also, have they copied us?

I think its just a song that goes around the grounds. Don't think it was just our song?

Not to mention Boston, Sheff Weds and Hull.
I think Sunderland have a claim to it. Maybe Hull too. But the rest can fook off.

I always thought it was Wise Men Sing? 'Wise Men Say, only fools rush in, but I can't help falling in love with you'. Elvis and UB40 I believe? (and STFC!)

Historically up til around the early 60's.....the STFC anthem was To be a Farmer's Boy. This was the marching song of Wilts regiments....so was widely known and sung at the CG. http://www.farmersboys.com/Songs_and_Poems/farmers_boy.htm The music is there somewhere as well.
