Crouch is quite clearly the best player in the world.

He just tore apart Argentina all on his own

Fact is dv, he had an undeniable impact on the game. He worries defences, Rooney was unlucky not to get a goal from Crouchys deft touch. and then just having Crouchy in the box Argentian were clearly shitting it, if Owen hadn't have got a touch for the winner Crouchy would've got it.

Fair enough, you missed one hell of a game but I'll bear that in mind when ignoring any future criticism's of Crouchy.

He was only on 10 minutes Dave.

The thing about Crouchy is he has to do 10 times as much as any other player just to be recognised as even having a decent game.

Owen was pretty anonymous for most of the match but got the goals at the end.

Beckham didn't really do anything special.

Crouchy set up a great chance for Rooney which was very nearly a goal and then the winner was almost a combined Owen Crouchy effort. Samuel was trying to mark Crouchy, as I believe he was for the first goal.

I don't think it's coincidence that we scored two goals in the 10 minutes he was on at all. You could see the Argentinian defence were worried by him, he just causes different problems from the rest of our strikers, he's a different type of threat and that can change games - that's one thing we need at the world cup. Crouchy on the bench.

Ben, fair enough, but don;t you DARE try and credit the winner to Crouch... he nearly cost Owen a simple header with his bambi-on-ice attempt

He seemed to dive into Owen rather than the ball, then landed flat on his belly

Dave that's bollocks, Owen wouldn't have scored it without Crouch being there but I reckon Crouchy would've scored it if Owen wasn't there.

Come on believe, we were losing when we came on then won. Lets not get mixed up by the fact he didnt score either goal and Owen got them both, it was all down to Crouch that victory. Premiership golden boot awaits, followed by the World Cup golden boot and a 56million transfer to Real Madrid.

Best player in the world, I think so.....better than Pele

Odviously he didn't win it on his own but would we have won if Crouchy hadn't been introduced? Personally I don't think we would.

That's 3 examples of games recently Crouchy has come on and then the games have been won with him on the field when his team weren't winning when he came on.

England - Poland
Liverpool - Aston villa
England - Argentina

To claim it's a coincidence is short-sighted, Crouchy helped to change and win all of those games.

Anyone who thinks Crouchy got in Owen's way rather than helped him to score just needs to pay more attention.
