Thought I'd give you lot an update on my latest Swindon game. Going well in the league (as the following screenies will testify). Lost in R3 of the Carling Cup away at Chelsea, and in R3 of the FA Cup at home to QPR.

Sold Seano to Wigan for £1.8M, turned down paltry bids for Ifil and Fallon.

League table current as of 1 Feb 06, and latest squad screen.

For some reason i havent got the option bar to offer players to certain clubs!?, i.e i can only offer to everybody and not specific clubs.

naah you'll be allright piemonte, but the update wont come into full effect until you start your next new game

On the very rare occasions I ever play this; it's Championship Manager 95-96 I play  

More basic than the later versions! but you can get through a season quickly as there's only so many things you can do.

I can never get Swindon promoted as the stupid game has already got rid of the best players before you start it, I am playing as Hereford at the moment, top of the 3rd Div with 7 games to go, won the LDV (or whatever it was called then) and Steve White is my top scorer with 20 goals.

End of first season, just got promoted via playoffs.

Finished sixth in the league, thanks to Bradford failing to win on final day of season. Got Bristol City in playoff semis, beat them 1-0 at the CG and drew 1-1 at AG, after extra time. Then went on to beat Gillingham 2-1 in the final.

Would recommend looking out for:
John Peter Kleppen  20yrs (plays anywhere in midfield or attack once trained and his stats just keep rising)

Oh and I've just signed Leigh Mills (DC) on a freebie.

For 1st season starts I recommend signing Gurns permanently (now 33 and still putting in good performances in the champ) and getting Dave Brammer and Paul Shaw on freebies.  Pick up Johansen and Turunen on freebies as well but they only join at the end of their contracts (Nov & Dec respectively)  Proudlock is available free as well.

I've got Thorne once; sometimes bigger clubs come in for him as he's on a free and he goes to them instead.

It is Champ 2, it is good playing that sometimes as I said above, as it doesn't take long to play a few games.
