Is it true Ripley only trains part time?
Believe so, few days a week I think.

I was aware he manages a coffee shop/ crčche up Preston/ Lancashire way which has only just opened. Also he’s had a few personal commitments that went on during pre-season Holloway said. But I did not know he’s only training part time, wonder if it’s anything to do with the aforementioned.

I think it was more to do with him living up north and not wanting to move down here and bring his family down. This was the agreement him and Holloway came to so he’d sign.

I rate Ripley. I’d take a keeper like him, who can dominate his box, over someone like Mahoney - who would wow with the camera saves but couldn’t take a cross any day of the week (even if Mahoney has gone to do play at a higher level….). But… Ripley really does need to get in the gym / on his bike, and shed some timber. He appears to have “filled out” over the summer….

I think he has always had that stature for as long as I have heard of him. He does a lot of martial arts training and so has done a lot of gym work and has built up the muscle over time as a result. I don’t think he’s unnecessarily unfit it’s just he just practically always had a stocky build

Different positions but didn't Eoin Doyle do the same and Wellens was flexible with the time he spent in the North vs in Swindon?

Think it was only once a week Doyle trained, if the player is happy and performing I don’t see the issue.

I like Ripley. Was happy and pleasantly surprised when he signed.
However, if we are treating everybody the same...
You can argue that he's had a massive part to play in 3 of the 4 league goals we've conceded this year.
The Walsall free kick. It's a great strike, but he's absolutely nowhere near it. Also questions about the wall?
Flapping around for Brophy's goal.
Saw Kaikai's strike late, but still might be disappointed.

Our keepers never get any better whilst they are here.
They either get worse or at best continue being as good as they were when they arrived. Think our keeper coaching might need a restructure…

I think that's being quite harsh on him, I wouldn't put any blame on him for those goals. I would blame the rest of the team for the last two, who were picking up the players?

Benda, Brynn, Mahoney, Wollacott all improved for me and all moved up the leagues for the following season.

Disagree. All left us performing to the same level as when they arrived.

Ripley if fine. The defence are finding their feet and so he been slightly exposed. The Walsall free kick was the only one I've been disappointing with. Good free kick, suspect wall.

I just hope the performance is that of the second half of Cardiff for the full 90. If so we'll win 4 or 5
