Is Butterworth still banned? McGurk out of favour again?
Last game of Butterworth's ban I think, one more after this. Clarke suspended for this plus whatever his injury is.

Clarke had tight calves, maybe not serious.

I still think theres a good player in McGurk but hes not been given many chances by the last 3 managers so that must tell you something. He should be one of the 1st names on the teamsheet but hes not even on the bench in most games.
He has to be on the get rid of in January list. Probably alongside all the loanees.

I think that if you listened to the Holloway presser then iut would have been no surprise to see:
- Delaney: Holloway said he was impressed at how well he organised the back line. He is trying to get the back line more vocal and have them talk to eachother. He said that he wants less shouting from the sides and more on the pitch. Delaney was doing that in the last match - Sobowale: He commented at how well he played at CB. Saying that he has taken all of the positive attributes from playing on the left and was excellent at CB. - Kirkman: Again, he praised Kirkman for pressing forward as well as defending. He said that he got into positions the midfield should have been vying for - especially the goal. He talked about him being positive and not being afraid in defefending as well as attacking and scoring a goal. (He compared him with Longelo, who had told him that he could run past people, rather than Kirkman, who just got on with it. Holloway told Longelo to show him, which he did in the first half at Wycombe, until tiredness resulted in a late tackle and red card) - Wright: He has been critical of Wright since he pushed Smith in the back, resulting in him scoring an own goal. Suggestion also being that he doesn't help others and is bang average at defending.
To me, Cain was the shocker. Thought he did well at Wycombe, but surprised to see him starting.

I can’t agree with dropping Wright, but if we win, we win. If we don’t, that’s a decision right there that just isn’t based on anything more than a managerial hunch. I’ve no issue with Cain, but with Brown and Kilkenny - that’s a lightweight midfield, and I’d prefer to see Ofoborh in there.

I don't think Wright being dropped is actually that much of a shock. During that run he was just a terrible as the rest of the defence. And playing a back 4 with Delaney, for his vocalisation at the back, requires Sobawale's pace & recovering runs to make up for him being slower than tectonic shift.

On Tuesday Cain sat in front of Kirkman and that worked fairly well, they must be scared of whoever is playing wide right for Bradford today as I see that as almost doubling up on marking. I also think Delaney has been picked over Wright as hes is (allegedly) better in the air when marking Cook who has no pace much like Delaney so if he sticks to Cook at least COok wont beat him for pace!

Wright is on surface an excellent footballer but not sure on his defensive capabilities. Let's see how it goes without him
