To be fair the first 10 games (or so) under Flynn were pretty entertaining

Trouble is it was often at both ends of the pitch!

True

However,

If Flynn was backed and had an extra 4-5 proper pros in the squad which he could rotate. And was actually allowed to buy Kemp and Young when they were quite obviously available. I am sure we'd of got playoffs.

I know that's a lot of if's and buts, but I don't blame him at all for that season. The budget and squad size was absolutely pathetic. He got a new deal early on because Clem couldn't believe the miracles he was working in the first 10 games.

I think Flynn got a raw deal in terms of squad building, but he didn't exactly cut his cloth accordingly once his hands were tied.  He basically refused to be pragmatic when it was clear we were being over run.

Indeed, but it was entertaining, even if it was seat of the pants stuff at times.

Completely agree. As soon as we went 2 games a week but wheels flew off.
