With Butterball suspended for 3 games I think he will got for Cotterill as hes more attack minded than Ofoborh, even though I would pick Offy every day of the week.

Poor Jacxon Brown in goal this week because he played there in training

Awful management of him the other week

Pre match getting the drowning of sorrows in early in The Playhouse.

Colchester itself is fine, plenty of opportunities to attain a state of advanced refreshment, it's the ground location that's the problem.
Good for the step count though.

This did used to be a happy hunting ground between Dec 2011 - Apr 2018 with 4 wins & 2 draws in 6 visits.
Nada in the 6 visits since apart from the hard fought draw against 9 men.

Can't see a win tonight and as it stands we're done.
Although a free weekend followed by a game against a team that just played the majority of 120 minutes with 10 isn't necessarily a big advantage as playing is better than twiddling the thumbs.

A marginal improvement under Holloway that hasn't been enough to start winning games & a much of a muchness squad where there isn't that much difference between those playing and those sitting it out.

Holloway may yet be able to forge a dogs or war type spirit where a mediocre group are able to get results and there is still time to do that.

11 goals for in 6 games in all comps isn't too bad. 12 goals against is bad and needs fixing.

A steady decline and little reason for hope for the future tends to breed a mix of indifference, anger, resentment with a bit of spite thrown in.
A cocktail of all of those is sloshing around inside me in addition to the ales.

It won't happen but sacking Holloway after game no 999, if there still haven't been any wins in the league, would cause much mirth.
It is an emergency after all.

Venimus, vidimus, amisimus.

Always love your write ups Wobbly but I have to ask... at what God forsaken hour did you leave home this morning to be in the pub in Colchester by 10.30?? Assuming you're Swindon based or thereabouts... and how are you still going to be standing at kick off?

Yes mate. I would have popped along to the Playhouse and bought WB a pint but I've got too much to do prior to kick off unfortunately... second actual live game of the season, the only other being the debacle that was Walsall (h)...

On the 06:18 out of Swindon.
Would have been in Colchester for 9am if not for a heavy tumble at Paddington so missed the connection.
Sustained some damage but it's all good fun.

Can spread the beers out across the day & still retain the faculties.
Sinking 5 or 6 in 2 or 3 hours would be a struggle.

Fair play, that is some commitment.  I hope that Town give you something tonight that was worth getting on the 06:18 from Swindon this morning.  Other than that, I hope the beer is good.

Agree with you with Colchester, nothing wrong with the town itself, it is just the football stadium that I cannot stand.  I think it is up there for me in my top 3 worst grounds.

Always found the Stewards at Colchester a nice bunch, unlike the mob at the Town. Grounds ok but so far out of town and Colchester pulled the free bus a few years back.

Done it four or five times and lost every fucking one of them.....so im staying away.

We need a break and some luck, lets have it tonight please!

You could debate a few but I think he’s probably picked the best players available for the game. They may be knackered from Saturday though. Let’s see how it goes…
