Players debate is interesting. Some of these players are folding under the pressure, others seem to be players that are fine when surrounded by good players and some just aren’t up to it. There’s very few/no players in this squad who seem to be able to take a game by the scruff of the neck and get us going. Potentially Wright can, I seem to remember a home game he seemed to do that.
Defensively we’re an absolute disaster, structurally we are as well which doesn’t help the defenders. The Drinan, Tshimanga and Smith front 3 is not going to work, I’m not sure why it’s still being persisted with. They’re 3 players who all need to be supplemented with creative options.
The other issue we have is the massive drop in expectations/aims from promotion to relegation dog fight. Not that any of us genuinely believed the promotion challenge was on but all of these players came in talking about aiming for promotion. How many are going to be keen to roll their sleeves up and get stuck into this dog fight and how many are going to be on the phone to their agents begging to get them out of here on January 1st, I guess we’ll see.

If you want to go down that route also the fans/ trust members at the time who had a love in with ‘Clem’ as the new messiah. Clem Morfuni who’s only reason for taking on Swindon was he’d fallen in love with the club and the town… bull shit. Well done with the due diligence |
