Oh dear, we all know that the County Ground was especially designed to be a wind tunnel

"and when you think about it, that's cheating"... an actual quote from an Exeter fan after we beat them in 2020 (the last time we were any good)... the most unintentionally hilarious quote I've ever read from an opposing fan🤣

With the advances in fluid analysis and GIS tools over the last decade or so, I would genuinely be fascinated to see what causes the wind tunnel at the CG. Maybe there are some Swindon fans doing a masters or PHD that would like to give it a go?

I reckon weather will effect the game 3-2 for us if I’m feeling optimistic

Please just no nonsense today.

Start our best players, and play them in their best positions.

I don't want to see Drinan out wide, or Butterworth wing back.

I don't want to see Kilkenny on the bench ever again.

Start Barden.

Drop Cotterill.

Makes a lot of sense to me. Holloway should've seen enough now to be of the same mind I reckon

What's the weather been like in Swindon? Don't think the rain is due to really pick up until later?

Its not the rain, its more the 45mph gusting winds. Seem to recall lots of games called off at the County Ground in the past due to wind when no others in the EFL suffered.

Surely the postponed matches due to the wind were caused by the unsafe structures of the old stands and the possibility of the roof blowing away.
Hopefully those days have gone.

A bit windy, a bit wet. Not severe enough to get a hedge called off unless it's through ground safety, severe enough to make it a poor spectacle.
