They were unlucky against Port Vale Saturday.

If we can have more of the last 20 minutes and less of the previous 70 from Saturday then I think we should win this.

Amongst all the jibberish I think Holloway was fairly spot on in his assessment from the Accrington game so I'd hope they would work to rectify it.

It's odd isn't it, it's like he hides one minute of reasonable football analysis inside ten minutes of mixed quality open mic standup in an attempt to go viral. He's not an idiot, but he almost deliberately seems to play one.

I've got a bad feeling about Saturday. Not sure why. Probably making up for the good feeling for the good feeling v Accrington.

There is a long way to go, but sure this is a must win if we want to pull out the mire. A must not lose if we want to stay up?

Anyone know what type of football they play? Hopefully a team full of technical midgets and not a direct style.

but he almost deliberately seems to play one.

As demonstrated by the end of the interview Saturday. "that'll be a belter" or whatever.

I have no idea what formation we’ll play…

If it was me - I’d look to very much going back to basics with a 442

Barden in goal. Tried to support Bycroft but he hasn’t looked good and quite frankly if we aren’t going to play Barden what is the point?

Sobowale at right back
Wright as one of the CBs don’t really care who we partner him with because this far all the options have been liabilities so far this season.
Cox at left back

McGregor wide right
Ofoborh & Kilkenny in the middle
Wide left is kinda open. You could put Butterworth or Cotterill or McGurk or Longelo there.

Smith up front with well any one of Drinan, Glatzel or Tshimanga; all been equally wasteful or non existent in front of goal.

4231 for me

                Barden

Sobo - Wright - Delaney - Cox

         Kilkenny - Ofoborh

McGregor - Butterworth - Glatzel

                  Smith

I'm going to this. So far I've seen a defeat and a draw, so surely I can complete the set? Not beating these would be a bit of a disaster.

Been advocating that a lot all season. Wouldn’t be against it at all but also don’t think it’s a formation Holloway would go anywhere near…

It’s probably the best formation to suit the players we have imo

I would go with this line up too but maybe give McGurk another go wide left as Glatz was very wasteful on Saturday.

Personally I think its either Butterworth or Mcgurk as they are too similar (small technical almost luxury players) to play in the same team. I prefer Mcgurk but after Butterworths wonder goal it will be difficult to drop him. Glatzel was wasteful but at least he is getting in to positions to score and was involved in the build up to Butterworths goal with a sublime flick.

Yes Butterworth and McGurk did seem to try and take up the same positions on Saturday during the game, I just like the little extra that McGurk brings to the game.

Admittedly he didnt get much chance to do that on Saturday though as in the first half we were over run, partly due to Kilkenny being dropped for the useless Cotterill (IMO).
