It was probably me that kicked this debate off so I will just say based on my original point, if I had to pick Flynn, Gunning or Kennedy based on what we have seen of Kennedy so far, i would pick Flynn if he was to be backed in the same way that Kennedy has been - Flynn did not get the same kind of budget that Kennedy has received.
There is no reassessment of Flynn from me, with the squad that he managed to pull together with the budget he was allowed, he was one dimensional and was pig headed and unwilling to change based on the circumstances before him, something that Kennedy is seemingly guilty of also.
My point was, in our current situation with our current squad/budget, if i had to pick Flynn, Gunning or Kennedy, I would have Flynn first, Kennedy second and Gunning 3rd. Having said that, Flynn was rightly sacked when he was, the failure was not replacing him with something better than Gunning. Ironically my original post was in reply to what I feel was a reassessment of Gunning's stint by DV.

I maintain Flynn was an awful one dimensional manager who should've been sacked after the Aldershot debacle. But it's the same old Swindon fans retrospective re-assessment of people who have left the club in my opinion
I agree totally on that, after Aldershot he should have been sacked straight away, that was our worst and most embarrassing result in the clubs existance. Flynn was a very very limited manager.

It does seem to be that way. My point was, in our current situation with our current squad/budget, if i had to pick Flynn, Gunning or Kennedy
That would be like choosing between syphilis, gonorrhoea and chlamydia, in that list there appears to be no better option for me.

No it doesn’t. It’s not revisionist.
Gunning was batshit crazy & wasn’t frightened of making formation & tactical changes and use all his subs - usually in quite bizarre fashion.
Half the time we couldn’t even tell what formation we were playing. He’s the complete opposite end of the scales to Flynn & Kennedy in that sense.

That's all true of his first two spell. Was it true of his longer third spell? I wouldn't have said so.

And that was my point, I think the first spells are getting mixed up with the longer spell which was much more risk adverse and anything but exciting batshit crazy football.

Kennedy said Clarke’s calf ‘didn’t feel right’ so he came off as a precaution.
Hall, he wasn’t so sure. Quad injury.
If Hall had defended properly he might not have got injured.

Was I happy that we scored a last minute goal to get a point away at Barrow, yes.
Am I annoyed and pissed off that I also felt an emotion of anger when that goal went in, yes. I felt that same emotion listening to Kennedy's post-match comments. I have never felt as disconnected and apathetic as I have done about Swindon Town Football Club as I do now.

100% with you on that
I doubt it’s an exclusive club TBF. I feel like that and have stopped going. Couldn’t even be bothered to watch on TV. I doubt I will on Saturday either if the weather is half decent.

We were only a 30 yarder and a keeper(defender) mistake away from eclipsing it on Saturday
