Can't really argue with anything Joe Acklam has said about Swindon to the Derbyshire Times.  A pretty fair assessment of us right now.

I think Drinan will start over Ofoborh though

Chesterfield are hoping for a 9k+ attendance against us, with us having sold around 800 tickets so far.

If it breaks 9,000 then it will be their highest 1st game of the season attendance since 1971/72 when they had 12,226 for the visit of near neighbours Notts County.

The newly promoted side will be riding the crest of a wave and will expect to kick off the season with a comfortable win.  i reckon it will finish up as a 1-1 draw.

Very strong away ticket sales so far all things considering. I will be one among the crowd. Does anyone know where the majority of town fans will be drinking pre-match?

Sorry for being a negative nancy but....first game of the season, away from home against a promoted team, live on Sky.........can only mean a 2-0 defeat.

Up the Town!

Need to get through today.
Hoping the game is not postponed due to Police being put on standby for this civil unrest.

I have a feeling this is likely the starting line up (as it stands).

                          Bycroft
             Wright       Hall      Freckleton
Sobowale    Cotterill(Ofoborh)   Clarke            Longelo
                           Glatzel
                   Smith         Drinan

subs:
Evans
Minturn
McGregor
Dworzak
Ofoborh(Cotterill)
Cain
Khan
King

Unless we go for Drinan on the bench to change things later on and start with.
