Fjortoft:
- MotM: Austin. First half was quality of old. Physique mixed with quality passes. Reminded us of the old qualities that we haven't seen much and only in spells
- You want to avoid too much turn over. Bycroft and some of the youngsters had their chance. Bycroft superb, but who else can the management rely on
- 15 out of contract. Massive turn over. If you are trying to build something substantial then you can't keep doing this. From a player's perspective, they want to know how the club is going to push on. Whats the pitch? Whats the plan?
- Fjortoft would love for Austin to be part of next year in a limited role if only in the dressing room

Yes, and we didn't want Scott Lindsey and the players he took with him.

Admittedly, some of the football at the end of his tenure was dire.

But, under Gunning it has been shite in a different way. As it was under Flynn when other teams worked us out.

Don’t forget many didn’t want Conroe in the team but he’s been pivotal for them.
Fair play to Crawley and Doncaster. Barrow must be gutted.

Fjortoft again:
- What is the plan and what will it look like
- When you do an analysis of the club then you look at the back room first and then look at the culture
- What we have seen in the background is what we've seen on the bitch. Its a little bit mixed, its a little bit chaotic
- Fans need an identity to fall into
- There hasn't been enough of an identity
- Sad that fans are not renewing season tickets.
- Fans trust cannot be relied upon, they have to be cultivated
- Gunning will want the job. And he should want it. Whether he's the right one is for other to discuss

From Twitter: “FBT ‘you should always clap it’s not our fault.’”

Could be made up, but would be a strange thing to lie about. Just showcases the utter delusion across the club.

Doncaster have been phenomenal. You wouldn't want to face them in the play offs! (Although I'd rather that than finish 19th with no ability to defend, no midfield and inconsistency on the pitch and off it!)

A total rebuild on and off the pitch is needed but sadly I think we will all be disappointed.
How an earth did Crewe make the play offs just goes to show what a mess we’re in.

For what is this club’s worst ever season, and without doubt, lowest ebb, no other club in this position would get as easy of a ride by their fanbase as ours. Standards at this club have dropped massively.

This is the issue complete apathy. Even Morecambe fans making their displeasure known and from our lot- nothing

We're a walking corpse and some of our fans are zombies going along with it.

…and some of those that aren’t zombies are talking a big game over social media and little else.

Both camps achieving the same thing. Fuck all.

Gunning:
- As a team we have shown a lack of defensive nous all season
- 99 goals: Unacceptable. Know where we have to recruit
- End of season game where we were trying to give kids minutes
- Some given more mins to see if they would be with us moving forward
- Austin: Brilliant to crack the 200. A club legend so fair play to him
- Morecombe: First team decided to play. Terrible position to be in
- Load to improve and loads to learn. Have enjoyed it. Last 3 games have blooded younger kids.
- 18 points in 18 games: Not great but sums up out season
- 100% take responsibility. Its his name as manager
- Need a clear out. You can see that
- Will speak to Clem and see what he says. Haven't spoken to him
- Getting the job: If he didnt believe he was going to be manager he wouldnt do it
- Retained list likely to come out on Monday
- Club looking over the abyss at National League: Its a realism of where we are at and where we will need to improve
- 100% sure that experienced players will be brought in
- Thanked the fans.

(As Hodgetts pointed out, Gunning was 'hardly effusive' in his responses'

I actually do agree with this. Unsure if it’s people talking a big game over social media or just apathy to be honest though.

Fjortoft:
- Praised Hawes for asking the questions that needed to be asked. Gunning has to face those questions
- Fjortoft hasn't seen enough
- He's heard from others that Gunning is a 'brilliant coach' but there is more than that to be a manager
- Drinan has said about wanting to look for promotion. There needs to be a concrete plan and Fjortoft is keen to hear what it is
- How much authority does Gunning have?: Whether its Gunning or someone else - They aren't a saviour. Its the overall structure and identity of the club that needs to be put in place. When managers leave then the club's identity and structure should still be there. Its been too chaotic over the last few years.

I presume the murkiness of our Boardroom and the fact our owner is half a world away, probably means there is nobody obvious to protest AT when it comes to a matchday.

I'll repeat myself, time for the Trust to abandon being friends and instead work on a project to gain influence through investment or purchase of the business.  The minimum effort should be to make a public demand for a place on the Board, the maximum should be to focus on a 1-2 year project to offer ownership (or somewhere between the two).  Tie Clem to public statements of wanting the fans to be involved and wanting the best for the club, then hang him out to dry if he doesn't deliver.

Baby Fjortoft talks a good game, as he got any coaching credentials?  Can he get dad to front a fans plus investor Consortium?
