Harrogate today start with 5 changes from the side whallopped 4-1 at home by Newport on Tuesday.

Their side today though is just 1 change from the team that were beaten 9-2 at Mansfield, the only change being Burrell in for Abu at right back.

This side has 5 changes from the side whallopped 4-1 at home by Newport on Tuesday.

It’s not just the player rotation, though. The whole set up changes. Tuesday had Minturn and Dokes at LB and RB - very successfully. Now Minturn doesn’t even make the squad so Dokes will have to revert to CB. 2 up front Tuesday is now, I suppose, Drinan on his own.

How do you get any consistency changing players and set up game by game.

Dokes RB surely, with Kokolo on the left & FBT/McCarthy in the middle

so Dokes will have to revert to CB.
Dokes will play his normal RB role he did in the 2nd half vs Tranmere.

To reiterate about RHM being pissed off, Gunning was on the radio saying you play well and you will get picked, simple, you play badly and you will get dropped. Fucking irony that after RHM's best game of the season on Tuesday.

RHM was completely knackered on Tuesday, expect to see him in the second half.  Cain must have a knock.

Are Harrogate the most English team in the football league?

Today Harrogate have a squad of 29 1st teamers that includes 26 English born players, 1 Northern Irish, 1 Irish and 1 Scots.

By comparison we have 28 1st teamers listed with 17 English, 5 Irish, 1 Scots, 1 French, 1 Gambia and 1 German.

Yeah echoing Nemo.

Consistency is somewhat overrated in this day & age. Obviously consistently winning is still good (!!) but with squads getting bigger and bigger (particularly at the top level) there is a lot more rotation. I imagine if you did the stats the numbers of players who featured in every game 30 years ago compared with now it would be stark contrast.

Nothing against changing the starting XI & formation on a game to game basis tbh. Probably better than the alternative of keeping everything the same every game no matter what. Something most complained about under our last 3 managers

See the Teds lost at AG to Cardiff and they’re already after sacking Manning and his ‘modern’ boring style.

Their poor run has coincided with Twine getting injured again, hes had about a month out now.

As if to prove that football fans will simply never be absolutely happy, I'm watching Leeds fans moan about a number of players' form after drawing 1-1 with Huddersfield having won literally every other league game they've played this year.

Sadly still stuck in mid table 9 points from the drop with a superior goal difference.

Looks the lowest turnout of the season so far to me at the moment.
