I agree, except they scored two goals, had one not given that looked to have crossed the line and two more ruled offside, then Bycroft tips over last touch of the game... we're not exactly solid at the back!

Okay, yeah upon reflection probably deserved a point, and I’m definitely viewing it through Swindon tinted glasses, but felt we had more clear cut chances.

Thank fuck this team still has some quality going forwards as Gunning doesn’t have a scooby. Bailed him out with that equaliser. Could argue he’s cost us 7 points in 3 games with bizarre changes.

good to get a point but can't get that excited about small victories in the lower reaches of the football league

An enjoyable game that, deserved at least the point.
Lovely to see McKirdy score for us again.

Well we should have won this, beat Salford and beat Newport.

Our luck has got to change

It hasn’t, because id blame all them points dropped on Gunnings substitutions and game management.

That isn’t down to luck, that’s down to not being up to the job.

Love that from Bycroft at the end and a really nice moment for McKirdy. Weird feeling as can’t complain too much with a last minute equaliser, but feel like Gills were there for the taking

I’m a few minutes behind, fair play to Harry, that’s hell of a finish after a fair few wild shots in this game from him.

Good performance. Enjoying the style of play at the moment and much more enjoyable then what was served up under Flynn towards the end of his tenure.

An enjoyable enough game to watch, created a lot of chances, but luck has nothing do with why we keep fucking it up.  You reap what you sow, and we've created a team entirely capable of exploding under the slightest bit of pressure - I mean, we are essentially playing without a proper central midfielder today (reminded me of the previous Gunning game against Gills but in reverse order).

Keep using Academy football as our only recruitment pool (exaggerated, I know) then we will get Academy style performance.  Nice on the eye, good technique by and large, create plenty against plodding defenders but about as much defensive desire as Chris Waddle used to be able to muster.

We play Milton Keynes on Saturday.  Who've just been dicked 4 - 0 by the very shit Bradford.

No idea what to make of that.

I was thinking similar. You can point to ‘luck’ in isolation from time to time but not every bloody game we’ve thrown away or been second best because we’re simply not up to it consistently game after game. Nor can you really blame the officials, yes, they’re not PL standard but we are not in the PL, even then the top tier needs VAR. We don’t have that either.

As a team, to be successful you have to have something sure but the successful teams have one thing we have been clearly lacking. Consistency, not in a few positions, all over. Flashes of brilliance are just that flashes.

He really wasn't the Messiah but letting Liam Kinsella go on a free looks even weirder with every passing game.

Funny how we see things. I think toward the end, Town did what Town seem to do very well...capitulate in added time. Could very easily have ended up a 6 - 3 loss.

Highlights of the match was that McGurk looks a very good prospect and has good movement. He's everything Luke Rooney couldn't be. Glatzel had some nice touches {as well as some useful shithousery} and was unfortunate not to score. I had that down as a foul on him in the box first half.

There's clearly glaringly not enough experience within still {on and off the pitch} at Town and as Alan Hansen once said 'ye don't win anythin wae keds'.

Town can thank their lucky stars they didn't lose. Don't think the interim manager is quite the messiah but will probably do enough to keep Town up - Beamish Line notwithstanding

Gav will blame the new recruit’s lack of fitness as to why he has to make those subs. To some degree he’s right.

This season is a dead duck but at least it shows up who needs recruiting for next season. Mind you, that was apparent before this season too.
