The Saturday "3pm blackout" has been protected, meaning no matches can be televised from 14:25 to 17:25 on that day - at least until the new deal ends in 2029. Our game goes past 14.25 in the normal 90 mins so is included in the ban as it will finish around 14.45. |

I think the 3pm rule is a bit silly now. I bet if clubs negotiated more of the fee from iFollow then they'd soon drop it. But for games that end before 3pm to not be available {in the normal way} is even more silly. To me, if a game is completed by 2.5Opm then that's a far enough grace period. Also, if a match were to overrun, surely iFollow could just ''black screen'' the feed and mute audio automatically if it passed the curfew?  |
