The covers will stop surface frost and freezing but, we have had a fairly long period of sub zero temperatures which have lowered the ground temeprature to the extent that freezing sets in to a deeper level despite covers.

Imagine putting a cup of water in the freezer, next to a cup of water wrapped in a cloth. The naked cup will be frozen whilst the wrapped cup will take longer to freeze but will freeze eventually.

Good analogy - point taken

They have also had the heaters on since the game Tuesday- but we have had such cold nights recently -7 2 days running ground is frozen solid. Also expected rise in temperature not enough time for it to thaw out

I’m amazed Bristol Rovers were able to get their game on Wednesday evening on the night it was -8 and bitterly cold since last week end.

In this case, yes, great explanation of insulation in an open system.

I’m guessing with all the recent shenanigans the club were not to fussed if the game was off, especially if they knew a protest was involved. Anyone know if Morfuni still here by the time the next home game plays, Bradford on the 27th?

He's slated to be there in person at the fans forum (which I think is around 30th January) so I'd imagine that will be his last game he sees before heading back down under.

Indeed, I understand he flies back to Oz on the 1st Feb.

Not sure what the covers are meant to do if they don't protect from frost.
You've had an answer but they are only ever dosed to be good down to -5 typically anyway.

The club are surely desperate for cash flow.

especially if rumours like this are true. Possibly rubbish mind
