Tranmere are a strange one. in their last 4 games they've lost to FGR, Doncaster and Morecambe yet they spanked Stockport 4-0. The optimist in me says this is the game it'll come good, or at least good enough, and we'll get the win.
Indeed, but the Swindon fan in me says 0-0 draw tomorrow.

Two clean sheets in a row, eh?
Amazingly we achieved that under Flynn with a 6-0 v Crawley and a 0-0 v Doncaster.
I'd certainly be happy to witness that combination again.

Here are the current predictions off the prediction league for tomorrow's match, i thought the 4-1 was optimistic but would love to know who's going for the 10-0 win!

I'm the 4-1, going for the general theory that STFC always pull something out of the bag when I'm on the cusp of sacking the whole season off and going to do something else on Saturdays.
I'll buy my Accrington ticket off the back of it and we will inevitably be hot shit in that game.

Todays presser if anyone is interested
1:52pm Gavin Gunning on contracts:
No interest in that at the minute, it is tunnel vision on the next game. The players if they play well will get the contracts and where we are in the table shows we haven't been doing that enough. In the next 12 games they need to show their value to get into our thought process.
1:51pm Gavin Gunning on settling in:
Anyone who has seen what I am doing and what we are putting in place, that can be hard to see from the outside. At the weekend we showed a different side from us, they probably had the better chances but we still could score goals.
1:49pm Gavin Gunning on Tranmere:
They are very disciplined in shape, run all day, Adkins has done a great job in turning them into a different team. Norris will probably play and him and Jennings are great players. Apter is a livewire. I am looking forward to it and hopeful of getting the three points.
Football is like a chess game to try and get the advantage and the space and where do they have one.
1:48pm Gavin Gunning on coaching staff:
I lean on them for certain stuff and the rest is my idea and use my opinion as the main one. I want input from everyone, whoever that is from, because you will never be the cleverest in the room and when you think you are there are problems.
1:47pm Gavin Gunning on set pieces:
Sometimes it can be personnel and having the will to attack the ball and being aggressive. Are you instinctive or reactive? There are all those little aspects in set plays. Set plays are massive and we give the players all of the details of what we want to do. At time you want them to try something different and hopefully we will start to properly attack them.
We have defended set plays really well and Mildy spends a lot of time on that, so he deserves a lot of credit.
1:45pm Gavin Gunning on putting things together:
It is not like the results will just click straight away, but the performances have been there and I am very optimistic that we will put a run together. There is a realism to where we are at, but the dynamic of the group is changing for the better. You are trying to blend two groups together so we have had a mini pre-season with them.

1:44pm Gavin Gunning on Khan:
It is tough without him as the others are 8s, George can play as a 6, but the others are more advanced so you are wheeling and dealing.
They kept their shape well against Stockport and didn't create big spaces for them to play in. At the Franchise game, I won't blame players, but they didn't take the information on board in full-back areas. So they had the man advantage in there. You watch them and they make all of those passes, so that was the most frustrating game.
1:42pm Gavin Gunning on injuries:
McEachran is ok. It was an impact injury, so we will see about tomorrow. Everyone seems to have recovered and trained today.

apparently so. The FA site says "until" today, so I guess it must be inclusive and 10 yellows = 2 games.

I’m pretty sure it’s a two game ban for 10 yellow cards

Thanks, was hoping that wasn't the case, so lightweight in midfield without him.

Lightweight with him as well! [/He fluctuates between heavy and bantam weight, but he is certainly more of a presence than the others (on a going day!).quote]

Couple of changes. Dokes, McGurk, RHM and Aguiar in for Cain, Elboozy, McEahcran and Kokolo. Khan still banned?
