FWIW I always felt Lampard was building something with Chelsea but they weren’t patient enough with him.

Whilst he’d gone before the final I don’t think they win the CL without him & they’ve been pretty useless ever since

It really isn't to describe people not 100%, is it?

It's a term to describe people who are overwhelmingly positive about anything and just defend the club no matter what.

Like now.

These people still exist now. How much worse does it have to get until they don't exist?
By definition, yes. But now being used lazily as a response to any kind of positivity I feel

*and anyone who can’t see that Brewitt is a terrible defender either doesn’t watch the match, or does from the Town End where it’s impossible to see how positionally awful he is.

I couldn't agree more with this. He was playing injured by all accounts, which certainly has an impact. So fair play for being committed enough to do that. However, he is absolutely terrible. It's mad the number of people who have him as man of the match today. I think people value some sort of fake passion or effort over ability. Probably the same people who think Austin still offers this team anything.

That fact that 3 players started with injuries is a fucking disgrace in itself.

Pathetic.

Is it fake passion?

On the basis that almost all of our players have limited ability, then I will always value effort.

He’s playing injured. It was clear to see from his gait when he was running. He still fought tooth and nail against two very tricky big number 9s and put his body on the line with blocks.

Is he perfect? No. One major fuck up at the back led to that spell of pinball wizard in the box.

However, does he show that’s he playing for the club more than most in this squad? Absolutely.

Met Flynn today and I can genuinely say that he is trying to make the best of a bad situation.  Very humble bloke who didn’t have a bad word to say anyone.
Reading between the lines I think the bloke has been sold  a pap by the club not that he will ever say.

I genuinely believe he is doing his best to bring players in but I think he’s been very unlucky or a few targets have used us to get a better deal elsewhere.

Wouldn’t blame him if he chucked the towel in but he won’t he really wants to bring success to the club but today highlighted how thin our squad is when he’s forced to play injured players.

The new player not playing today was due to fook up on the paperwork so wasnt registered in time.  Not sure whose end it was though

Brewitt is a good reactive defender, a good last ditch defender.
He isn’t a good read the game, organise the back line, proactive defender.

The back 3 with wing backs is a shit system anyway plus we don’t have the leader type so that will only enhance Brewitts weaknesses (and let’s be honest all CBs at this level have them hence playing at this level)

…in the right formation with a Greer type next to him and he’d be decent.

He said it was at MK’s end, however it wouldn’t be the first or even second time we have ballsed up transfer paperwork in recent years.

Cheese and onion go together.

Steak and kidney go together

Morecambe and Wise go together

Dry January and watching STFC definitely do not go together

Plus Khan on autopilot in front of the back three who was passed through by their attack like a hot knife through butter every single time. He was bordering on a disgrace.

I actually thought Kinsella and Cain worked very hard, the latter being a marked improvement on McEachran.

He may be a great bloke but he’s not a very good football manager. Forgetting all the back room stuff you’d still expect to see some game management, tactics and basic organisation but there has been little of that all season.

It sounds like it was exactly the same at Walsall.

He’s been sold a pup yeah, but he’s also a bit shit as well.
