Gascoigne-Platt!!
Was trying to think of when I saw the same goal before, thanks for the reminder, very very similar.

That's an insane freekick against Young. he wasn't holding and was pushed to the ground

That turn from Minturn to get out of trouble was lovely. Just lacks that pass when he's into space

1. There should be a midfield there for a short pass
2. Someone should be giving him a man on shout there

Mansfield are very pedestrian so far. Neat and tidy but only a threat when we give it away so far really. 1-0 at half time, how many games in a row is that now?

Nice that we are actually playing with 11 men for a change rather than the usual 10 with Austin on the pitch.

This feels like a proper backs to the wall team performance BUT with a bit of spice up front.
The team are passing runners off to team mates and trying to not be quite so exposed.

Flynn's team talk at least needs to match Clough's...
If we score next the crowd will be involved, if we concede i worry we'll go back to the old town

soapy tit wank that's not how our goal kick routines work, baby!
Someone showing for the ball when he's found space would be nice though

For me the best half of the season, we look alot more solid with the extra body in midfield but still have an attacking threat.
Some really good performances , minturn looking better and better, great finish from young and kinsella has broken up play many times.
Let's not forget this is arguably one of the best teams in the league and our confidence must be shot so hats off for the change in tactic and the first 45 minutes performance

We're doing okay. Maybe lucky to be ahead but we don't deserve to be behind either. We're doing some good stuff and some bad stuff, Mansfield look a more structured above average side.

Happy to be where we are but I think we're all thinking that we're at the top of the first half table, but they're top of the full time table and the second half could be brutal.

Although there has been no stand out moments from him, i think Kinsella is making more of a difference in this game than he has previously.  Doing a lot of the dirty work and hassling that largely goes unoticed.  Khan has been the driver and McEachren trying to do the technical stuff (which at the moment is not paying off) but the bussyness of Kinsella has meant that some of the spaces that we have seen previosuly have been filled, at least some of the time, which is a step forward.

You can tell we started like a team low on confidence and the first 5 was waiting for Mansfield to score.

We settled and started to find space a deserved half time lead.

Minturn is man of the match so far, so much composure (twice too much on his turn and runs) but winning all of the tackles and reading the play so well.

If we can look after him he can be an incredible asset. He still has a big mistake in him but he will only get better with age.

Very much a defensive performance and reliant on young and kemp to link up and create which they have.

Kinsella is looking much more settled after a run of games.

Kokolo needs to offer a lot lot more. If he doesn't improve I'd look at genesini quite quickly
