Bloody hell! That wasn’t a penalty or a red!

Rule is a red if you're not making a genuine attempt to play the ball, so if that's a foul at all it's a red, not a yellow. Messing up a tackle is a yellow.

The push was in the middle of RHM's back not even an attempt at getting the ball, clever by RHM and had to be a red under those circumstances.

rule is that it's not double jeopardy if you are making a genuine attempt, normal card related to offence if not.

So he's interpreted it as denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity with no attempt to play ball.
