Thought that Newport pressed very well and that contained FBT & UGM to a degree.
Created some problems for ourselves in the first half and looked like an away team at times.

Played on the counter very well in the 2nd half and unlucky not to score one or two more.
A determined defence of the clean sheet and with a quarter of the home season gone we are looking strong at the CG for a change.
Need to get a win or two on the road now.

Very happy with the first team but an Omar Bogle type striker could still be a very useful addition.
The man himself looks to be out of contract in the summer so could be worth a go and still a good age at 30?

Was there any trouble after the game, we didn’t see any but there was a shit load of Police outside, including a load of vans from Devon & Cornwall so assume they must have been expecting something.

Didn't see any which was a good thing. We must have  ended up in the Newport escort after the game as we headed back to the Tap, which was unintentional. As we cut down Broad Street a copper shouted oi, this way. We explained we were town and on our way to the tap  Smiley

As for the game I thought Newport made things difficult for us at times.

Yes

I thought that was just for police presence in the ground or on land owned by the club and anything outside of that it's taxpayers money?

I'm of the understanding that we only pay for police on our premises as well. There were court rulings on this a few years ago

Only for what is necessary inside the ground, I believe.

Cheers Chalky, imagine what the bill would be if Oxford or Bristol city are in Town.
