It’s the disparity between home charging - 3.6p per mile - and public charging - up to 26p per mile for ultra fast charging . Grossly unfair to those who live somewhere a home charging point is impossible.

EV may be the way the industry is going but, it may not be the long term answer.

The materials used in the batteries have to come from somewhere and that isn’t always environmentally friendly. Also the electricity has to be generated somehow.

Other technologies are being investigated such as hydrogen fuel and other replacement fuels. Some of these are more environmentally friendly than fossil fuels.

Somebody obviously thinks they can make a decent amount of cash out of it. We are working on a scheme (not this one) at the moment and the big change is the increased provision of EV charging facilities plus the need to provide more interest on site as people will be there a bit longer than traditionally as vehicles charge, its why new ones are popping up, as retrofitting is often not possible (and even if it is it basically means closing the existing while you do).

Gloucester Services  is just a poor facsimile of the original and best at Tebay!  Cheesy

Poor copy,  it's almost identical. They seem to have one floor plan that they use northbound and flip it for southbound.
