One disappointing thing today - the attendance wasn’t great. Deserved to be watched by more than that.

Has a ref ever had less to do in a game?

Honestly can’t remember anything contentious.

Agreed slightly below what I expected but still peak holiday season and Crawley wouldn't have brought many
League one -Bristol Rovers v Wycombe 7,900  Oxford v Charlton 8,900 (probably inc 1000+ addicts)

Keep scoring goals like we are and the numbers will swell. 10 years ago we were pushing for promotion to the Championship and would have considered 8k a decent home crowd.

I used to enjoy the drink and saw us play Derby in the Watneys cup in the early 70's

Funny, watching the extended highlights back and you realise Austin on another day scores about 5.

He was on hand for 4 of the goals but no one chose to square it to him for a tap in, and Kemp could/should have done the same for his first two misses in the first half.

He was in the right place and seems to be a massive part of “the group”.

Great day out. Lots of positives in this side and a style of play we’ve not seen before. Wing backs playing level with the front two, and two of the three centre backs advancing at the same time. It’s this that’s creating so many overloads, and options for the midfield. Crawley had no answer to it. There were too many men to cover.

Changes in personnel won’t suddenly make us more solid defensively if this is the way we play. Add quality by all means, but no centre back, playing on his own (as Brewitt had to do at times yesterday in our 1-5-4 formation), is going to stop the opposition having chances…

Darcy was a passenger for Crawley yesterday, like he was for us in so many games.
You simply can’t carry players of that stature and calibre in the style that Flynn has introduced.

We over ran them second half.
