also, the away shirts are very limited in numbers and size. 3xl (lots), xl, l, m for definite as of 3 but not many unless they've hidden them.

Not shirt specific, but has there ever been a range of clothing where there *haven't* been loads of XL+ left and the medium and larges are all gone? You'd have thought clothing companies would have an idea how many they need of each size by now, but every sale rack in every shop I ever go in is dominated by larger sizes.
