Paul Mullin is having an autobiography coming out. Good grief.
Don't blame him, get it out while the interest is there, in a couple of years nobody will remember who he is

Sort of thing that makes Wrexham utter cringe though.

Agreed, just following in the fairytale footsteps of Bournemouth & Salford. Fuck the lot of them

Amazing what a bit of exposure on Netflix can do for someone. He has never struck me as being a particularly verbally articulate speaker or even much of a thinker. He just seems to be a typical gobby Scouse scally who found an outlet in football. I expect he has so many takes to tell about his 9 years as a lower league pro footballer

One thing I am interested to see play out with 'The Welsh Club'...
Wrexham's badge features the Prince of Wales' feathers and motto (Ich Dien), it is in a constituency that has voted for a Conservative MP and they play in (and to a certain extent rely on the patronage of) the English Football League.
However, under these owners, presumably because it plays to a Yank audience, they are really pushing a sort of Welsh nationalist agenda. Couple that with the signing of James McClean, not known for his love of this land, and you do have to wonder if they might alienate a good chunk of their real fanbase.
I have no great understanding of Welsh politics but as I say, curious how these things sit with one another.

Wrexham is hardly a Tory heartland area, 2019 was the first time they'd ever returned a Tory MP and they have little to no chance of holding it at the next election. I imagine most fans don't care too much either way - Mullin can say fuck the Tories all he likes if he scores 30 a season and McClean will be a fan favourite as long as he's playing well.

Yup, aware it isn't a heartland. Just saying they voted one in at the last time of asking, so it isn't a Plaid Cymru heartland either. They only got 6.4% of the vote in fact.

Their fans sing about the IRA and are very Welsh Nationalists. I'm sure they were creaming themselves at signing McClean.

Have heard that the locals aren't happy at tickets being reserved for tourists, leaving about 500 for locals (not season ticket holders). Presume this will be resolved when the inevitable stadium upgrade/ new stadium is built.

I know this is a long shot and I wasn't sure where this should live but calling out for any Wrexham tickets that people no longer need/want to sell.
Unsure if this is the start of a matchday thread or not but happy to kick things off.
2-1 Town Austin, RHM (surprise return) 12,235 (1,034 Town fans)
Sorry for the quote MCRRed but matchday thread already in here.

I am going up for this, actually making a weekend of it (no not in Wrexham!). but I think this one might be a bit too tough after 2 hard games. Guess it depends if RHM is available thinking 2-1 to them
