We had planned to, as my dad often gives one to a housebound town fan as he loves reading them. But we arrived at 2:50 and there was none to be seen.

3 superb pints of entire stout were very much enjoyed!

Personally I am in the Berniman camp. Disappointed to drop 2 points but positive that if we can build on the first half performance we will have a good season.

The one thing I found concerning is that FBT was pushing so far up the field leaving our defence a man short and exposed.

Nice to see Ginginho and Jacob there.

I'm pretty sure everyone's in that camp to be honest...

Positive start, even if we'd have preferred 3 points.

I know someone who went who hadn't been for a 3-4 years. Their first comment: "It's all pretty low key now isn't it. Very quiet". I had to watch on iFollow, but even form afar it seemed like a friendly atmosphere.

What can be done for the Town End to step up and play their part? They're mute. It should be bouncing at 2-0 up.

Both of our goals came from a defender going up into the opposition half.

I think so. Can't be disappointed with a point, can be with the circumstances. pretty simple.

Fine to point out where we were weak in the game - left side and up top late on

Off the field I thought the atmosphere was pretty quiet, I was sat in the Arkells near the away end and a couple of hundred Crewe fans were obviously quite excited to see their side playing in front of an actual crowd.
Their reaction to scraping a draw said a lot. Couldn't quite understand the fire drill song as not that many left early.
The acoustics are quite strange at the CG. Stood in the TE you can barely hear the away fans, sat up by them you could barely hear the TE. I have said it many times before but the side stands need to get involved rather than just moaning about a flat TE.

I know for the last few seasons the atmosphere, or lack therof was often blamed on the laborious football we were playing. Now we have a new manager who likes to play more on the front foot, based on what I saw on Saturday and at Peterborough last week the football is more exciting. It's a real shame we couldn't have held out for the 3 points on Saturday, that could have really been a catalyst for the next league game, when Scott Lindsey is back in town.

Yep well aware of this. But is it necessary at 2-0 up ??

If you are playing 3 at the back, with two very forward minded wing backs, someone needs to have a bloody word with the CH's.....

I think this comes back to game management.

We don't have that out and out captain authority figure on the pitch to crack the whip when things are going awry.

The system we are playing mean they all have to keep an eye where each other are when going forward.
When the 3 CB's push up, Hutton and George M (as you can see on Youngs goal) then drop back to cover them.

Essentially Flynn and Hatswell have been watching far too much Ted Lasso.
And to quote Rich Pullen. "And I'm here for it"

Footnote. Rich Pullen may or may not agree with the formation, I'm only borrowing a term he used often on the podcast.
