Again, just passing on a rumour I heard in circles. Allegedly the 28 was temporarily vacated for Demetriou, thus Shade wearing 7 before but since that one broke down, no need to keep 28 vacant. Shade is back to wearing 28 today.

Probably put that one under the 80% bollocks section but just something I heard.

Is 28 a number Shade has used through out his career / has some attachment too?
Can’t see the logic in him being willing to give up #28 for #7 in the first place in that case. Even less logic in changing to #7 to then go back to #28 if it was suddenly free again because if it is his preferred number he wouldn’t have given it up in the first place.

I think it was a joke.

We havent actually seen any evidence of any strikers that we have missed out on too.

Currently the only player we know 100% that we missed out on was Moore-Taylor and ironically he was a defender, so technically Riddick is right, we have actually missed out on 100% more defenders than attackers so far!

Evidence that you’ve seen / heard*

Yes, JMT was on trail so that one makes sense.
…but I stand by what I’ve said about Johnson & Smith turning us down.

Shade had the number 28 at Walsall and at Leicester too.

No idea tbh, made little sense to me when I first heard it. Only link that made it somewhat credible was seeing that Shade had 28 last season, has worn 7 all pre season up until now (a couple days after we hear Demetriou to Crewe) and now gone back to 28. Paired with Demetriou wearing 28 at Newport.

I see Brewitt is on after 30mins, presumably someone has picked up an injury.

14'

Town have a chance early on.

Blake-Tracy picks up the ball following a short corner from McEachran, who then turns and hits a well struck attempt into the side netting.

17’

Shade wins a free-kick along the left and bends an effort towards the top right corner, but Fisher tips it over the bar.

Very strong. Not too far off the best they can field.
