Lindsey will be back as a coach for a NL/Lge 2 team by early 2024

May have already been mentioned so apologies if it's a rehash, but Chris Keily was a boardroom guest today so probably confirms the long term model remains to an extent, but with the obvious short term remit to vastly increase/improve the experience and leadership of the squad

We use Keily's data system. I guess the use of the data will still be instilled in the 'model' but with more hands on from Flynn and the scouting team.

Was Sandro his suggestion? It would kind of make sense tbh.

But I guess that was then, this is now.

I think so. I assume that he wasn't to know how 'hands on' Sandro was to apparently get. Not sure if they worked together at Wigan or not either.

I guess the thinking was 'employ the guy best placed to know how the stats work'. Which would be fine in a constrained role, but he was given much more than that as "technical director".

Hope lessons have been learned.

They got 33 goals between them that year!

I know, but the number of chances they created and missed was unreal. If we'd had XG state back then the numbers would have been insane.

I look back on George and Iffy up front with Walters, mixing it in the Championship, as glory days!

Bit of tedious watch but i enjoyed the last day banter.

12:30 kick off is bollocks, decided to drive, so a refreshing change to be stone cold sober.

Sale in the Club Shop and picked up a nice pair of Day Glo Keepers shorts for a Tenner which the new Mrs Flash will love. Smiley

Key points.

Thought the Crawley keeper should of done better with Austins shot.
Superb Free Kick
Missed the Flynn Half Time speech...Sounded all good from the retold reports but ive heard it all before....we will see.
Pen for them was coming after three or four lunges.
Pen for us was a bit soft i thought, awful penalty kick.
All over...disappointing season.

Gave them a bit of a clap at the end, but im hoping that 50% of them fuck off.

RHM has the unpredictable not quite sure what he’s doing aura of Fola Onibuje but with more natural talent + the moan and feel hard done by first, the ball second attribute of Williams.

I’d say on the face of it - he’s had a decent enough productive second half of the season after finally being fit and injury free in what? The best part of two years.

I guess it’s whether people think he’s hit his ceiling now - or - whether he’s just got going and their is room for improvement.

Did I imagine it or was he wearing gloves (at least in the first half)?

Jephcott has said his farewells so i dont think he will be coming back

Pity if he has, had a season of his career pretty screwed over by two managers refusing to play him in position.

Not surprising him and Austin will not really work as a partnership
