Nonetheless, our players have played today as if they’ve been unshackled

Bring in a genuine manager and we could stand a chance of getting out of this league..

Kanu should’ve got a sixth there

With the chances we had and the number of times we hit the woodwork that could easily have been 9-0 today.

Laviniers effort just off the line by the keeper near the end too.

Needs to be tempered a bit as they were down to 10 men for a long time.

Still . . .

Feel good win. Great to see Austin roll back the years.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. They're a poor side and were down to 10. Our squad is still imbalanced and requires more work this Jan. Something to build on - vital that the new manager is the right one and not another joke like Lindsey.

Mate, just be happy for 5 minutes or do one.

Yes, they had 10 for 70 minutes but how many times over the years have we not taken advantage of that? We were all over them from the start when they had 11 anyway.

Can only beat what’s in front you - which is something we haven’t been doing recently anyway

Need to break that game into two.

After the sending off and specifically the second half, kudos to the change in formation.  Not sure a one man midfield will work very often but it stretched the game beyond Grimsbys 10 men.  Very good performance that put the Gills one to shame.  Khan had his best game for us, forwards were creating space and both wing backs pulled the defence away.

Before the sending off it was all about Austin for me.  Shows what a couple of good experienced players with known talent can do to teams at this level.  So much more about him than anything else this season and all you need then is to be an equal footing everywhere else.

Hopefully we get a good Manager in and sign a couple more players with the know how.
