Well, most of Serbia are defending very high. Nobody seems to have told the right back!

It's a bit like running the line for my club team up here, three defenders stepping up nicely and one has dozed off and played everyone onside.

Reminds me when I ran the line for our lot years back, the gobby prick left back was moaning that I wasn't flagging rather missing that whilst the back 4 were keeping a decent line, the slow midfielder coming out 3 yards behind them was playing everyone onside.

BBC Commentary team getting cross at the flag staying down for an offside and letting the play continue to the shot before flagging... when that exact protocol changed the result of the last game because the assistant thought Aboubakar was offside for Cameroon's second. And why yes, it is Jonathan Pearce, of course it is.

South Korea playing crossing-and-headers is certainly playing against type!

I totally understand why it's done, the Aboubakar incident the case in point as to why it's done in the way it is. And on the otherside of the coin I also understand why people don't like it, sometimes the striker is clearly miles offside and they play on for so long that it appears to be pointless. Can you imagine if a player was to get injured badly in such a scenario? I guess that's why the pundits aren't keen.

Suspect the Korean manager will be having a bit of time off here.

What was he so irate with the referee for? Ah because he blew the whistle before they had a chance to take a corner. The time was over by 30 seconds so was probably correct.

I fully accept that everything about a World Cup in Qatar is wrong but there is one caveat to that. I am not missing the sight of England "fans" taking over bars and cafes singing about the IRA and throwing furniture at people who wander past. It may be old age but the lack of alcohol is not necessarily a bad thing.
