Just like watching Swindon play.
MacGuire and Stones' repeated interpassing was great for possession stats.  68% at half time.  Like watching paint dry.  They made Harries and Brennan look positively Brazilian.

Rice is a good shield but they needed someone like last season's Reed to move England forward.

The start of the Poland v Saudi Arabia games is very like the start the USA made. They are very energetic and skilful.

I reckon the traditional footballing nations are going to have to accept that the supposed also ran nations have caught up immensely - and in some cases overtaken them.

Why are people getting so het up over a dull England performance? God knows there’s been enough of them before.

For me it was a clear sign that we have absolutely no chance of getting near winning this competition.

was it different to the 2nd game in Euro 2020 when we drew to Scotland?

Didn't see the first game but the Australian win should be counted as something of an upset?

Much better from Poland.
A solid Pot B team for qualifying but making up the numbers in recent tournaments.
A far cry from the glory days of the 1970's.

Have to admire the approach of the Saudis.
This group is wide open.

Much more difficult for the Saudis to buy their way to WC glory.
Did read mention of a possible 2030 joint bid from Greece, Egypt & Saudi Arabia.
Not for me.
For the 100th anniversary of the WC there are much more worthy symbolic venues if they are up for it.

Second appearance by the Brasilian ref if I'm not mistaken & still no sign of Oliver or Taylor.

And finally, Matty Cash's perfect coifeurre is a thing of great envy.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
Crap!

Think this will be a South American win, maybe Argentina. Not sure on golden boot but maybe Jamal Musiala as an outsider if it's not a Neymar/Messi.

Get a load of this idiot.

Rice is perfect if played the correct way like he is for West Ham. Shoehorning people like Mount in is what is messing things up. We have no creativity apart from the front 3 on a consistent level, fullbacks were horrific yesterday as well, shades of Rob Hunt get forward then turn back

Luke Shaw was a strange one at United he bombs forward at every opportunity it's as if Southgate had told him not to attack past the half way line.

Must have been a hell of a pass to get an assist for our first goal against Iran from inside his own half?

I see what you've saying😀 but imagine what chances he could create by attacking in the opposition's half and supplying crosses onto the box.

Which both Shaw and Trippier did against a frankly dreadful Iran (who played like a differentteam against Wales), an outlet which was then very succesfully nullified by an organised USA team who had obviously done their homework.

Against a very well organised team that Southgate didn't seem to want to change tactics/personnel to change things.

So far, the teams that had a great first game seem to be having a really duff second one. What price Germany to beat Spain I wonder?

Over half way through the second round and only France have two wins.

Fine so it's all down to Southgate then, who you replacing him with?
